Gill Towell

GillyMac Designs

Simple Quilting – Exploring Quilting Technique Accessible to All

In her work, Gill combines ruler quilting, walking foot quilting, and free-motion doodling to create simple quilting patterns that she adapts to fit any space. Over the past ten years, Gill has taught hundreds of quilters to employ eye-catching designs and look for different shapes within pieced or appliqué quilts. In this talk, Gill will share the key designs she teaches and discuss the methods she has found most successful in coaching pupils to get the most out of themselves and their domestic sewing machines when quilting.
